Thinking Colombia for your honeymoon?

Colombia is a large country full of natural beauty and history.

But where should you go there?

#1 – Cartagena

There are no real beaches in Cartagena. A lot are hard to access and not exactly luxurious. But there are options nearby if you’re truly looking for a beach getaway.

And you are only a few hours from Santa Marta and then in turn Tayrona or you could opt for the chic Playa Koralia as well.

Above all else, Cartagena is safe and romantic. It’s nestled on the Atlantic side of Colombia and is full of historical buildings, music, and good food.

#2 – Isla Mucura

The island is breathtaking.

Located within the collection of 10 islands which make up the San Bernando Archipelago off the Carribean coastline, Isla Mucura has a small resort feel.

Good water, good atmosphere, and good service (at the island’s only hotel) mean it’ll be a great honeymoon for you and your partner!

#3 – Coffee Triangle

If you’re looking for mellow vibes without a beach, the Coffee Triangle and Salento should do the trick.

Salento is a cute town with a local feel. Colonial style, there’s even a main drag so you can get your tourist fix.

There’s also coffee tours, natural springs/spas, and hiking in the Valle de Cocora in the immediate area to make the trip as relaxing as possible.

#4 – Bogota

Looking for a honeymoon in a city? It’s Bogota for you…

Enjoy the city’s cathedrals and Baroque architecture. Discover a good rooftop bar. Listen to some local music at one of the city’s many concert venues or bars.

If you’re looking to experience Colombian culture, there might not be a better city to vacation to!

#5 – Providencia

Last, but certainly not least is Providencia.

A tropical oasis, it’s hard not to equate this place to paradise! It’s an island in the Caribbean Sea, next to some of the most beautiful coral reefs!
